BAUSA-Solar: Welcome to our new home
Welcome to the new home of BAUSA-Solar. We are in the process of slowly building our website as we prototype some new and exciting designs for harvesting solar thermal energy. We will also be providing some reviews of equipment we’ve tested and even offer a few products in collaboration with vetted manufacturers of high-quality solar equipment; these will be strictly items that we have evaluated first-hand and consider among the best in their class. Finally, we will be providing a portal for some of the best solar energy sites on the Internet as well as writing original articles and reports. Please be patient – every good thing takes time.
Some readers might amusingly note that “bausa” is Spanish for laziness and thus think this is a rather poor name for our solar division. To the contrary, lazy is perhaps an apt designation for the passive collection of ‘free’ solar energy and it’s actually an acronym for our parent company Beaux Arts USA. Our primary mission at this phase of our company is research and development in solar thermal energy. We do not offer any consulting or direct retail sales of OEM solar products at this time. Our ultimate goal is to help others to sit back, and ‘lazily’ collect the free solar thermal energy that bathes their home’s daily.
It’s surprising to many people that solar thermal energy is available year-round, even in cold climates. The task is to collect a significant portion of the solar energy which continues to strike the earth even when the ambient temperatures are below freezing. In winter, this thermal energy is often used for heating the residence. In the summer time, the same solar energy is used for producing domestic hot water. So how do you collect significant ‘heat’ when it’s freezing outside? Keep reading; the answer and the answer will emerge.
